SERVICE(S): NEW CHILLER INSTALLATION, PUMPS, CONTROLS, PLANT MOVEMENT
DESCRIPTION OF WORK UNDERTAKEN:

Gentoo Group is a Housing association, that owns and manages more than 29,000 homes in Sunderland.

Its head offices are based in Doxford International Business Park in Sunderland.

New chillers were planned for both buildings adjacent to each other and required initial feasibility study and design.

New chillers were procured, with installation including mobile crane contract lifting fully planned before delivery.

Installation was business critical as downtime would seriously impact services.

Over the same weekend, existing chillers were decommissioned, refrigeration and oil safely removed for sustainable disposal. New chillers were crane lifted into position, connected and commissioned.

Additional services carried out over 2 weeks duration included flushing the existing system, replacing existing pumps and upgrading controls.

New A/C 125kW LENNOX chiller replacement required for its aseptic suite. Chiller was procured, with installation including mobile crane contract lifting fully planned before delivery.

Over the same weekend, existing A/C chiller was decommissioned, refrigeration and oil safely removed for sustainable disposal. New A/C chiller was crane lifted into position, connected and commissioned.
